Samsung’s upcoming flagship phones Galaxy S9, S9+ have already made ripples in media

Samsung’s upcoming flagship phones have already made ripples in the media. The upcoming models are successors of Samsung Galaxy models S8 and S8+ and are called S9 and S9+ respectively. No points for guessing that one! It is quite obvious that Mobile World Congress (MWC) is the favourite place for Smartphone manufacturers to showcase their latest. The upcoming MWC is in Barcelona, Spain and is all set to happen in Feb 2018. As a matter of fact, both the S9 and S9+ have been subject to various rumours and leaks already. If the rumours are true, both these devices would flaunt the same infinity display (18:9) like their predecessors and of course multiple upgrades and enhanced features would be part and parcel of these new devices.

Both the smart phones would come updated with Android’s latest 8.0 ‘O’ version

Let us quickly take a look at the features.  When it comes to the look, both will be similar to the older models.  It is said that both devices come equipped with dual-lens camera and higher RAM. In addition to these features (leaked, Samsung is yet to confirm), S9 and S9+ will also feature a longer battery life and Quick Charge technology. Let’s take a closer look on the specs for both the devices. Both the phones would come updated with Android’s latest 8.0 ‘O’ version. S9 is said to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor (US) or Exynos 9 Series 9810 processor (UK) and support up till 1.2 Gbps download speeds. Rumors say that it will also have a display embedded fingerprint scanner and a USB type C. In addition to all these, S9 will also have the Bixby AI assistant with a dedicated button but will have less edge than S8 or S8+. There are noises in the air like S9 would ditch the headphone jack (much like its competitor Apple).

As it is quite obvious from the name, S9+ would be physically larger than S9

Talking about S9+, it is quite obvious from the name that S9+ would be physically larger than S9. Zero points again for guessing that! Chances are that S9+ too will feature dual camera lenses. S9+ will have a display of 6.2 inches and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Octacore processor. It is also rumored to have Iris scanners and is water/dust resistant and system memory of 4 GB while 128 GB of built in storage. The storage can be expanded up to 256 GB. Samsung has kept due note of the trending demand of today’s Smartphone user. S9+ comes with a battery of 3600 mAh and jam-packed with other features like accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, haptic feedback, voice commands and of course a USB “c” type point. In addition to these features, rumor has it that S9+ will also have NFC, VOIP, Computer and OTA sync.

Samsung has taken considerable measure in building both these devices after their recent Galaxy Note 7 fiasco

Though it is quite unsure as to what to believe and what to not, we still have our fingers crossed on these new releases. It is to be noted that Samsung has taken considerable measure in building both these devices after their recent Galaxy Note 7 fiasco. Anyway, we hope Samsung’s new flagship phones are welcomed by the users. Let’s wait and how things play out for this South Korean company.
